KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verification and auditing of files
  • Proactively identify discrepancies in documents and report these to SCM Practitioner
  • Assist in preparing evaluation score sheets prior to evaluation
  • Electronic and hard copy filing of relevant documentation for the unit
  • Assist internal and external stakeholders with payments and claims
  • Assist with meeting logistical arrangements (booking of venues, refreshments etc.)
  • Participate in activities of the unit
  • Take minutes during meetings

  • Perform Central Supplier Database (CSD) checks on suppliers prior to the award of a bid and assist with verifying suppliers’ compliance with the relevant pre-qualification criteria
  • Attend to basic queries from clients and stakeholders
  • Perform general administrative functions

The Council for the Built Environment (CBE) is a statutory body established under the Council for the Built Environment Act

(No. 43 of 2000). It is an overarching body that coordinates the six Councils for the Built Environment Professions - Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, Property Valuation, Project and Construction Management, and Quantity Surveying - for instilling good conduct within these professions, transforming them and advising the South African government on Built Environment related issues.

REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:

  • National Diploma/ Degree in Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics/ Public
  • Administration/ Finance

Personal Attributes:

  • Between the age of 18-35
  • South African citizen
  • No criminal record
  • Unemployed and have not participated in an internship programme previously
  • A good academic record of 60% and above in any of the fields of study listed
