The main purpose of the job is to provide exceptional customer service at the point of sale, thereby maximising selling opportunities and minimising risk to the business. The Cashier must perform till procedures efficiently, accurately and courteously, to ensure the security of all receipts and the full contents of the till at all times. The main areas of responsibility are:
- Greeting the customer
- Ringing up purchases and accepting payments
- Issuing receipts
- Balancing the till at the end of the day
- Wrapping, Packing and maintaining displays

Job Requirements
- Required Minimum Education: Grade 12
- Must be proficient in English
- Must be able to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays
- Must be helpful and polite
- Building Material Product knowledge will be an advantage
- 2 – 3 years cashier experience will be an advantage
- 2 – 3 years sales experience will be an advantage
