Opportunity exists for a Financial Manager to join a well-established training consultancy specialising in training in the banking, credit and risk management sector.
The successful candidate will have an Accounting/Finance related Degree along with relevant working experience in a financial position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff and the Managing Director while recommending further courses of action
- Advise on savings activities and provide strategies that the company should take to reduce costs
- Maintain the financial health of the organisation
- Develop strategies that work to minimise financial risk
- Analyse market trends and competitors
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget on a monthly basis
- Reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets
- Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
- Developing long-term business plans based on these reports
- Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Produce and provide monthly management reports
- Plan, forecast and budget for Distance Learning Programmes
- Ensure that all sales / invoicing is captured on a monthly basis before month end cut off
- Follow up on outstanding payments to be collected within thirty days of invoicing
- Ensure that all inventory, etc are reconciled on a monthly basis before month end cut off and reports produced
- Ensure that the fixed asset register is maintained and updated or when necessary with related items (sales or purchase etc) before month end cut off and reports produced
- Email/post customer statements monthly to clients
- Ensure timely preparation of BIDS and RFQs as requested
- Ensure timely preparation of all financial documents required for accreditation and business purposes
