We are an international wealth management company seeking a paraplanner to join our Organisation. We are interested in you if you are a recent graduate of a financial planning program, are looking for an entry level position, want to learn the business and our company from the ground up, do not want to market and cold call for clients but do want to be involved with making a direct impact on clients’ lives. Candidates that fit into our company and culture will desire to be in a large wealth management environment, have a true passion for financial planning as their career calling, and are committed to a fulfilling work/life balance.

We specialize in wealth management using a bespoke approach for high net worth individuals and are currently seeking a dedicated team player who is eager to learn and contribute to our Knysna office.

Our paraplanner position requires a bright, hardworking, goal-oriented, self-motivated, passionate, personable, and professional individual.

This is a professional position that will support Wealth Managers directly in servicing the existing and potential clients. You will be expected to perform various tasks including portfolio reviews and preparing financial projections using financial planning software.

 

Job Purpose

To offer administrative service and support to internal and external clients in order to achieve the Nedbanks goal of offering a world class service.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • You must have the ability to utilize critical thinking skills, work within a team, and anticipate client questions as well as business needs.
  • Qualified candidates will be detail oriented, structured and have a high degree of follow through. Working as a paraplanner requires good team work, hard work, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills.
  • An understanding of the different financial solutions available in the market place, including the specialisms in investment, insurance, pension and tax
  • Basic understanding of investment and financial planning strategies for high net worth clients
  • Ability to identify, meet and follow through with client needs and requirements
  • Professional, ethical and discreet, acting always in the best interests of clients
  • Effective time and caseload management with a flexible approach to business hours
  • Organized, with a strong attention to detail, able to perform multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team player with a ‘no job is beneath me’ attitude
  • Show confidence, yet in a humble manner, when dealing with clients as well as colleagues
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills
