Responsibilities:
- Capture payroll packs, earnings and deductions on Sage 300
- Update personal and role changes on payroll
- Respond to payroll queries
- Track contracts for conversion to permanent or extension (valid work permits, passports, and visas)
- Draft and distribute VISA & Confirmation of Employment Letters
- Facilitate process and packs for resignations
- Draft and distribute salary adjustment letters
- Process maternity applications
- Approve and monitor compliance of leave on ESS
- Assist and guide employees with risk benefits and process disability and IOD claims
- Upload training for skills development reporting
- Reconcile payroll for payment to suppliers (risk, provident, garnishees and SARS)
- Process monthly CSV file
- Extract and distribute month end reports
- Back up payroll and roll over
- Draft and distribute annual increase letters
- Assist with annual audits (external auditors)
- Extract data for EE, SD and COIDA

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- 4 - 6 year’s Payroll experience essential
- Proficient in Sage 300 payroll
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes
- Proficient in MS Office
- Proficient in MS Excel (Intermediate)
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to work under pressure
Skills:
- Good understanding of taxation on earnings and benefits
- Ability to prioritise
- Ability to follow through to completion
- Problem solving
- Team work
- Understanding of UIF, SDL and BCEA
- Understanding of risk benefits [death, disability, severe illness, funeral cover] (preferable)
- Knowledge of PAYE
- Knowledge of various payroll calculations e.g. overtime, leave
- Knowledge of IOD process (preferable)
- Knowledge of EMP201 and EMP501 process (preferable)
