Driver - Africa Health Research Institute

The driver will be responsible for transporting AHRI staff between AHRI Durban and AHRI Somkhele, pickups/drop-offs at various sites in the Mtubatuba/Durban area as well as general and admin duties as directed by the Line Manager. This includes Night Shift, Public Holidays & Weekend work as and when required by the Institute.

Minimum Qualifications

• Senior Certificate

• Valid Driver’s license Code C1 with PrDP driver’s License with at least 3 years of driving experience

• Possess and maintain a safe driving record with no serious offences against his/her name.

• Advance or defensive driving training is an added advantage

Minimum Experience

• At least 3 years of work experience as a driver

• Previous professional experience or exposure in the transportation of hazardous goods/specimens is an added advantage
• Previous professional experience in the transportation of passengers and high-level delegation is an added advantage.
