TFG Value Added Services (VAS) Financial Assistant. We are looking for a motivated accounting professional who has good understanding of the overall tasks within finance and accounting to join our finance team within TFG VAS (inclusive of insurance, media, cellular and Tyme).

Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities:

  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare supporting documents for journals
  • Prepare import templates for publishing and insurance departments
  • Reconciliations between billing system (Vision) and SAP
  • Month-end clearing entries
  • Calculate insurance payments
  • Prepare bordereaux (detailed remittances) to send to insurers
  • Set up projection/budget templates

  • Compile supporting data for projection/budgets
  • Review debit order run
  • Investigating and resolving queries related to insurance and publishing GL accounts
  • Handling vendor onboarding & payment queries – internal + supplier
  • Management of general ledger chart of accounts/new accounts for new cost centres etc
  • Assisting with any general related administrative duties as required
  • Ad hoc related tasks that may arise

Qualifications:

  • Matric + relevant financial course/finance diploma
  • 2 years experience in a finance environment
  • Have reconciliation experience
  • Knowledge of accounting systems (SAP experience preferable)
  • Computer literate (MS Excel, MS Outlook etc.)

  • Highly accurate and detail orientated
  • Able to work independently, as well as within a team.
