We are currently seeking a Business Improvement Line Specialist to join our Kumba Iron Ore family.

This role is key to identifying and leading improvements across operational shifts and teams in order to ensure delivery of safe, responsible production in their area against monthly plans and within the broader context of annual requirements. It is also an important role in looking for opportunities to take delivery beyond ‘meeting’ targets to real breakthrough performance (P101).

This role is in the Integrated Planning Operating Model Department on a Band 6 level reporting to the Section Manager Operational Planning Projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • A tertiary qualification in Industrial/Metallurgical Engineering or any related
  • A project management experience and/or qualification
  • Data Analytics/Science experience will have additional advantage

Experience

  • 5 year’s Operational experience within the mining and operations environment and on a Supervisory level 

Additional requirements

  • Data analytics skills will be advantageous
  • Process experience in mining and plant
  • MS Office, MS Projects, Simulation tools, @Risk
  • Valid Drivers’ License
  • Excellent communication skills
