POSITION: CLEANER FOR SOFT CAPS
JOB SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- To ensure the assigned area is cleaned correctly, effectively and in line with GMP requirements.
- Specific Functions
- To clean down walls, windows, floors, and ceilings with specified detergents and in line with company SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
- To ensure cleaning logs are correctly filled out.
- To assist with any other job functions in any department if required and trained for that particular job

- To immediately inform the supervisor of any visible deviations from GMP requirement in the assigned production areas.
- To ensure all machines and drains are disinfected after cleaning
- To ensure all disinfectants used are the correct ones for the month as well as in date.
- To ensure principles of GMP are adhered to.
- To ensure cleanliness and tidiness in the department.
- Taking control of ordering in the dispensary, e.g. cleaning solutions, PPE such as gloves, masks etc
- To inform Supervisor or Pharmacist of any cleaning equipment shortages and breakdowns.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
- Without detracting from the specific tasks and duties referred to in your job description, you will be required to comply with any reasonable requests or instructions of your manager from time to time.
- To be thoroughly familiar with and participate in the update of Company Procedures pertaining to job functions.
- Ensure that Quality standards are maintained and propose improvement.
- Attend all relevant GMP Training sessions.
- Ensure that safety practices are adhered to and propose improvements.
- Ensure good inter and intra departmental relations with all staff by showing full commitment and involvement, loyalty, openness, frankness and positive enthusiasm.
- Ensure that time keeping, attendance and productivity is of a high standard daily.
- To ensure adequate record keeping and follow up.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 10 or any higher qualification
- Attention to detail
- Manufacturing experience advantageous.
