Job description
The client is searching for a DevOps engineer, where you will need to understand the constructs around development and the operational world. You will be part of a team which is made up of Devs, Ops, Sec etc. The client is building out a new CaaS capability on Pivotal and VMware which will be completely automated. You will be working very closely with developers and security staff, both inside and outside their teams.
Requirements
- OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Puppet/Chef/Ansible automation tools
- Monitoring (e.g. Prometheus, NewRelic)
- VMware vCenter
- NSXt
- vSAN
- vCenter
- vSphere
- Pivotal Container Services
- Dell EMC VxRail
- Pivitol PCF(Pivotal Cloud Foundry)/PKS(Kubernetes) on VMware
- Should be able to understand the design and build an VMware ecosystem
- Understand Agile and DevOps methodologies
Qualifications and experience:
- BSc Degree
- 10 years’ experience with Linux
- Five years’ experience with VMware technologies
- Five years’ experience with automation tools
