Key Responsibilities:
Programme Objectives
- Demonstrates an understanding of the programme objectives and associated tasks.
- Complete all modules of the development programme within the specified timeframe.
- Escalate queries and concerns associated with the programme and completion thereof where required.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
SHE
- Adhere to all legal and safety requirements.
- Conduct all work according to the required standard, specifications, and training.
- Attend SHE meetings as and when required.
- Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is worn and/ or used.
- Recognize hazardous situations that have an impact on all jobs and participate in “on the job” risk assessment.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Reporting
- Compile developmental progress reports for progress discussion with the relevant stakeholder.
- Report all inconsistencies and obstacles.
- Report and communicate ideas and recommendations.
Minimum Required Qualification:
- Have a grade 12 Certificate with minimum English 5(60%+), Mathematics 5 (60%+), and Physical Science 5 (60%+)
- Possess University Acceptance with an APS of 23 (Mid-year results will be provisionally considered if currently still studying)
- Not currently be busy with studies or have completed prior University studies
The Appointee should:
- Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
- Clear security screening record.
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
- Reside in Labour sending Area or local community
- Prospective candidates will be required to complete workplace orientation and underground exposure visits as part of the selection process
- Final allocation is dependent on applicants obtaining an acceptance letter from the University of Johannesburg
- All applicants will be subject to clearance screening by South African Police Services as required by the National Explosives Act
