We’re looking for a bright, curious and business-savvy Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will support the Finance Manager with financial reporting and general accounting matters. If you enjoy translating financial data into strategic insights, thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, and are eager to make a meaningful impact, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting
- Facilitate expense review meetings with various cost centre owners to monitor operational expense performance and assist with action points.
- Expense analysis and reporting.
- Managing budget overspend process.
- Support forecasting and long-term planning processes.
- Gross profit reconciliation and analysis.
- Assisting with the preparation of board and audit committee reporting and results presentations.
- Coordinating the integrated reporting process.
- Planning – Interim and year-end reporting timetables.
- Preparation of Management Accounts for a number of Group trading divisions and subsidiaries.
- Continuously improve systems, processes and reporting standards.

General accounting
- Provision reconciliations.
- Preparation of stock NRV calculations for the Group.
- Performing straight-line calculations in relation to rental income.
- Performing calculations such as: Sales return provision, eCommerce sales adjustment, etc.
Statutory Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
- Preparing various statutory AFS as well as AFS notes.
- Assisting external auditors in AFS-related queries.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant qualification essential – minimum B.Com
- Completion of articles would be advantageous + 2-3 years’ post-article work experience
- Retail experience would be advantageous
- Experience in the preparation of IFRS-compliant AFS
