Role Overview
As our Operations Manager, you will be the central driver of operational excellence across our retail stores, warehouse, and supply chain. You’ll ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time, processes are running smoothly, and teams are working efficiently to deliver an exceptional brand experience. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage people, processes, and priorities in a fast-growing retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Operations & Store Support
- Oversee daily store operations across all Johannesburg and surrounding locations.
- Ensure store teams have the stock, tools, and information they need to deliver on sales and customer experience.
- Monitor store performance and work with managers to improve efficiency and drive results.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Oversee stock movement from warehouse to stores, ensuring accurate replenishment and transfers.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify gaps, and coordinate replenishment schedules.
- Manage product flow during launches, promotions, and seasonal changes.

Warehouse & Logistics
- Supervise Johannesburg warehouse operations to ensure accurate receiving, storage, and dispatching of stock.
- Implement best practices for stock control, shrinkage prevention, and space optimisation.
- Manage logistics partners and ensure on-time delivery to stores and customers.
Process & Systems Management
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and operational standards.
- Work closely with Head Office, production, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and product rollouts.
People Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse and retail operations staff.
- Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and training sessions.
- Build a culture of accountability, efficiency, and teamwork.
Skills & Experience
Required:
- 5+ years of retail operations or supply chain management experience (multi-store preferred).
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing teams.
- Solid understanding of inventory management and retail logistics.
- Highly organised with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing retail environment.
- Proficient in retail POS systems (Shopify experience a plus) and Excel/Google Sheets.
Preferred:
- Experience in apparel, footwear, or lifestyle retail.
- Knowledge of local manufacturing processes and supply chains.
- Exposure to both retail store management and warehouse operations.
