Responsibilities
- Undertakes full day-to-day Project Management role on more complex projects or a range of smaller but more challenging projects, or runs a component of a major project.
Team Management:
- Provides technical leadership for smaller project teams
- Responsible for technically leading groups of Project Managers and technical teams to deliver within scope, budget, time and quality standards
- Delivers effective communication, inclusive of clients and team member,s to clarify expectations and requirements
- Make day-to-day decisions for project teams
- Mentors technical leadership talent and trains staff, ensuring discipline skills are up to date and industry-relevant

Technical Excellence:
- Applies diversified knowledge of Project Management principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields
- Makes decisions independently on technical problems and methods
- Resolves complex technical problems and acts as the go-to person for specific technical issues
- Acts independently on technical matters
- Performs quality reviews and serves as Lead Verifier on projects, confirming that the approach satisfies the client's scope of services and expectations
- Applies acquired expertise and knowledge to solve technical challenges
- Supports digital transformation strategy and implementation, and embraces change within the discipline
- Responsible for developing a robust technical network within AECOM locally to provide clients with the most appropriate technical solutions
Client Relationship Management:
- Maintains regular contact with clients to identify pre-released opportunities
- Has the knowledge and expertise required for this work level, which usually results from progressive experience
- Markets AECOM’s technical excellence in the relevant industry by attending conferences
- Presents to clients, senior leadership and other project stakeholders to demonstrate progress
Interdisciplinary Coordination:
- Ensures assigned teams effectively coordinate with each other
Qualifications
- Honours degree in the built environment field of study with a minimum of eight (8) years' relevant post-graduate experience
- B-Tech degree in the built environment field of study with a minimum of nine (9) years’ relevant post-graduate experience
- National Higher Diploma in the built environment field of study with a minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant post-graduate experience
- National Diploma in the built environment field of study with a minimum of eleven (11) years’ relevant post-graduate experience
- Tertiary qualification in a Project Management related field of study, such as procurement, quantity surveying, engineering, architecture, planning, contracting, etc., with a minimum of nine (9) years' relevant post-graduate experience
- DATA Centre experience would be highly advantageous

Professional Registration Required:
- Registration as Pr.CPM with SACPCMP, OR
- Certification as PMP / PgMP / PfMP / PMI-SP / PMI-ACP with PMI
