Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa has an exciting opportunity in the Sales & Marketing Department. We are looking for a seasoned individual with the necessary skills & experience for a Channel Specialist: HORECA role.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outcome
- Brand Marketing Plan Execution: Collaborate with the Monster Energy Company (MEC) frontline marketing team to execute regional marketing plans in alignment with the global brand strategy, ensuring brand consistency and maximizing regional impact.
- Joint Business Planning with HORECA Teams: Work with dedicated regional HORECA teams to ensure the execution of the annual joint business plan, maintaining alignment between global strategies and regional objectives.
- Promotional and Activation Support for Regional Teams: Provide ongoing promotional and activation support to regional sales and customer teams to maximize the impact of developed programs and drive performance at the local level.
- Collaboration on New Product Launches: Partner with the Category Management team and Commercialisation project managers to ensure the successful execution of new product launches within the channel, adhering to the ABP and innovation timelines.
- Top-to-Top Engagement with Key Customers: Foster strong relationships with senior leadership in key accounts to align on business objectives, performance tracking, and new opportunities.
- Localized Brand Promotions Execution: Activate the national brand calendar and adapt programs to regional markets, ensuring they resonate with local consumers while staying true to the brand’s core message.
- Ongoing Evaluation of Promotions and Campaigns: Review and assess the effectiveness of executed promotions and campaigns, providing actionable feedback and insights to improve future initiatives.
- Trade Marketing & Customer Relationship Management: Work closely with the trade marketing team to identify innovative solutions and support the execution of new product introductions and brand campaigns.

Execution against Brand Direct Marketing Expenditure (DME) and Annual Business Plan (ABP), by portfolio
Skills, Experience & Education
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Marketing) are advantageous.
Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in FMCG sales, trade marketing, or key account management within the hospitality or related sectors.
- Hands-on experience in brand marketing execution, joint business planning, and promotional management.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, trade marketing strategies, and product launch processes.
Skills
- Ability to align brand objectives and regional market needs, focusing on growth and performance.
- Strong teamwork with internal teams (marketing, sales, category management) and external partners to ensure successful execution of business plans.
- Expertise in executing marketing campaigns that ensure brand consistency while adapting to local market needs for greater impact.
- Skilled in developing and managing promotional programs, coordinating logistics, and measuring campaign effectiveness to optimize results.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and senior leadership to ensure customer alignment with brand goals.
- Proficient in analyzing performance data, monitoring KPIs, and making data-driven decisions to improve campaign and business outcomes.
