KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The incumbent is expected to deliver on the following detailed key performance areas:
Provides input into Supply Chain planning and policy development.
- Provides input into the development of the Supply Chain operational plan.
- Provides input into the development of Supply Chain policies and procedures.
Ensures alignment with relevant legislation.
- Compliance to all relevant Supply Chain legislation
- Compliance to all internal policies and procedures with regard to Supply Chain Management

Conducts quotation and bid requests.
- Invitation, evaluation and finalisation of quotes in line with policy and applicable legislation
- Invitation, evaluation and finalisation of bids in line with policy and applicable legislation
- Preparation of all documentation pertinent to above such as score sheets, evaluation reports, comparative schedules, other relevant reports, purchase orders, letters of appointment etc.
- Inform line manager of any irregularities relating to the quotation and bid process.
Prepares and submits Supply Chain reports.
- Preparation and submission to line manager of Commitment reports
- Preparation and submission to line manager of Exception reports
- Preparation and submission of BBBEE targets and reports
- Preparation of service level agreements and contracts
- Preparation and submission to line manager of other relevant Supply Chain reports
Maintains a controlled Environment.
- Accurate filing of all Supply Chain documentation
Meeting’s facilitation and secretariat support
- Preparation and facilitation of committee meetings when required.
- Taking of accurate minutes at Supply Chain meetings
- Typing up of minutes within agreed timeframes
- Attends Management meetings during line manager absence.
Process payment documentation
- Receipt of invoices with timely processing
- Supporting documentation for requests, quotes, bids, invoices etc. to be attached to all relevant submissions and reports.
Providing guidance on Supply chain aspects
- Provides guidance to all staff members on Supply Chain aspects.
Ad – Hoc Duties
- Provides management with information as requested during line manager absence.
- Assignments from CEO/CFO/ECS as and when required.
Teamwork
- Performing priority tasks during co-workers' absence
- Ability to work closely with others.
- Being pro-active in assisting others
- Contribution to projects meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Mentoring and coaching of staff and interns
- Liaising with various internal departments for smooth and quick turnaround of deals

Requirements
APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of an appropriate recognised Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Public Management or Business Administration.
- At least 4 years’ experience working as a Supply Chain Management Officer or a similar role.
- Superior analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and high degree of personal initiative
- Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software
- Customer focus and bottom-line orientation
- Well organized with excellent time management skills
