Main Purpose:
- To manage the IT functions on a day-to-day operational basis.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Lead and manage the IT department, providing guidance and technical support to team members
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all CargoWise-related issues and enhancements
- Manage the implementation, support, and optimization of CargoWise systems
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems
- Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and implement application improvements
- Plan and execute system integration projects to ensure seamless interoperability between different software applications, hardware systems, and IT infrastructures
- Create and implement strategies, architectures, and platforms to facilitate efficient and secure data exchange and workflow across systems

- Facilitate training sessions and create documentation for IT staff and end-users to ensure they understand the integration processes and can troubleshoot common issues
- Annual Budgeting for the I.T. Department
- Monthly Reporting on I.T. Costs as defined by Senior Management
- Plan and execute IT projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to safeguard company data
Knowledge & Experience:
- Matric Certificate (non-negotiable).
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field (non-negotiable).
- Certified CargoWise Professional (mandatory).
- AWS certifications (advantageous).
- Network certifications (advantageous). Proven experience of Managing an I.T. Department
- Experience in I.T. Infrastructure Planning and Development
