Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our production department. We are looking for talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Machine Area Specialist role, which is based in Lakeside. Key Purpose: To maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality at minimum cost without sacrificing standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Contribute to self and team development.
- Plan a budget and prepare the job systematically and effectively.
- Must be able to work under the pressures of a production environment.
- Self-starter.
- Must have an appreciation for quality and technical standards.
- Must be able to liaise with Machine Suppliers and Technical Support from COF.
- Must be able to carry out electrical maintenance work.
- Must have 'troubleshooting' skills.
Key Outputs and Accountabilities
- Standby as per roster.
- Preventative maintenance work.
- Membership of a fault-finding team.
- Modification projects (whenever necessary).
- Installation of new equipment.

- Development of work instructions related to equipment.
- Monitor and manage the performance of equipment.
- Optimize machine performance and layout.
- Optimization of maintenance schedules.
- Optimize machine availability.
- Provide training on equipment
- Ability to work shifts and be available on call-out where necessary
Judgement and decision-making
- Work independently as well as work in a team
- Good sense of responsibility
Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications and Experience
- N4 with Trade Test (Electrical)
- 5 years’ work experience
- PC literacy essential - Microsoft packages.
- Good understanding of PC hardware
- Siemens programming experience will be an advantage.
- Inspection and coding experience will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 will be an advantage.
- Additional Mechanical Trade or Millwright will be an advantage.
