Purpose Statement
- To motivate, steer and support the execution of the Data Governance framework, policies and standards.
- Responsible for the operational execution of the effective adoption and oversight of one of the Data Governance portfolios across the organisation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Management
Experience
Minimum:
- Experience in data dictionary and metadata management using automated tools
Ideal:
- 2 years data governance or similar level analysis experience
- Practical experience with data governance or Data Quality and Metadata Management tools software/programs
- Preference towards banking environment, with large-scale data experience
- Data modelling experience

Knowledge
Minimum:
Detailed knowledge:
- Solid understanding of databases and data structures
- Exposure to query/database language
- IT systems development processes
- Business analysis and design
- Standards and governance
- Familiar with regulatory requirements such as POPIA, GDPR and PCI DSS
