ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To effectively drive all People Development interventions on management, team member competencies and operational roll out strategies in their region in order to upskill employees with the necessary knowledge and skills capability in line with the company standards and strategic objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that all training program requirements and objectives are met
- Training responsibilities will include all operational campaigns and functional master classes to support operational effectiveness and standards
- Orientation and training of new staff in the region
- Completion of certifications and moderations weekly.
- Ensure that all managers in the area have current/up-to-date legislative training certificates (H&S Representative, First Aid, Fire Fighting) and nominate people when required
- Facilitating soft skills training i.e., Adult basic educational training, basic computer skills, coaching skills, conflict management, problem-solving skills, SMART goals and root-cause analysis
- New store opening in terms of recruitment, team member training, equipment training, and forecasting preparation etc
- Store-specific gap analysis to improve operational effectiveness on focus areas
- Keeping the KFC culture alive through Customer experience representatives and Culture Captains
- Design training modules and PPT presentations
- Marking of training materials, e.g., Certifications and Portfolio of evidence etc.
- Implement tools to support and reinforce the required training programs
- Work closely with operations in assessing existing and future employee development requirements through training, coaching and upskilling
- Implement classroom sessions as well as on-the-job training on topics according to the needs of the region
- Analyse peak trends (Friday evenings + Month end weekends) to identify training needs in opportunity stores
- Customer complaint handling & training
- Ensure 100% effective use and tracking of the blended learning process in the region
- Ensure all role players are fully trained on e-learning utilisation

REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Facilitator/Assessor/Moderator qualification advantageous
- Min 3-5 years in a Training/ Facilitator role
- Proven previous track record of facilitating or training groups of individuals
- Own a reliable vehicle, geographically mobile; with a driving licence
- Clear presentation/training style in a classroom situation and on-the-job training, with excellent facilitation skills
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Strong drive for results and ability to self-manage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to build & maintain strong working relationships across the board
- PC literate – proficient in MS Office particularly, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Web applications.
- Leverage skills & knowledge to build people capability to feed the talent pipeline for growth
- Confidentiality, trustworthiness & extremely reliable
- Flexible with time and able to work shifts including weekends
- Customer experience preferably in a retail environment
- A highly effective individual with a passion for people development
