We are recruiting for a Head of People to lead the HR function across our Support Centre and store operations. With broad generalist Human Resources experience at a senior level, you will be expected to bring demonstrable strategic people / HR experience along with the ability to drive a culture of high-performance collaboration and trust.
You will partner with the Group Centre of Excellence - HR specialist teams as well as business leaders to deliver strategic group HR imperatives.

your responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of short and long-term people strategy to achieve targeted KPI’s in line with strategic business objectives.
- Lead talent forecasting, recruitment and onboarding in line with current and future business requirements. Oversee the implementation and management of reward and recognition programs to attract, retain and motivate staff whilst ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Lead and drive organizational design, training and development, succession planning, organizational culture (including Diversity and inclusion) and performance management imperatives to retain and grow top talent, manage poor performance and meet current and future human capital requirements.
- Oversee the management of change as it relates to people by driving the implementation and execution of change management processes
- Keep abreast of statutory requirements and industry best practices related to Human Resources to understand changes in the employee/ workforce landscape, maintain and enhance HR frameworks and mitigate risks and compliance with employment legislation
- Contribute to management/ board reports on the overall health of human capital and progress on related projects.
- Manage employee relations policies, procedures and practices to ensure consistency and fair employee relations practices are in place across the organization.

what are the requirements?
- A completed Degree majoring in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology
- 8-10 years of HR Business Partnering experience including 3+ years at a Senior Management level
- Retail Industry experience is advantageous
- Strategy Development, Financial planning and budgeting, Process knowledge, People management, Disciplinary processes, Labour scheduling, Policy and procedures, Communication skills, Leadership and development skills, Analytical ability, Labour relations & legislation, Strategy development
