Job Description
- Providing IS plants with quality planning and support
- Provides quality support to projects from the planning phase to project completion
- Quality data analysis, reporting, and including statistical analysis
- Comply with governance & compliance policies and procedures, work within established policies, systems, procedures, company standards, processes, and practices
- Ensure effective communication regularly to relevant stakeholders and management
- Comply with AECI Zero Harm (Safety, Health, and Environment) standards
- Perform Internal/self-assessment audits, monitoring, measuring, and reporting on all activities, processes, and procedures
- Coach and mentor employees and quality champions on ISO 9001 quality standards and processes
- Supports technical team opposite various plants and process technologies with regards to experimental design, experimental testing, and plant technical investigations
- Implementation of the control of non-conforming product systems to manage non-conforming final products, rework, returns and promptly resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise
- Customer complaint records, investigations, and reporting

Qualifications & Experience
- Matric
- National Diploma in Chemical / Industrial Engineering and/or a relevant Quality qualification
- At least 3 – 4 years relevant experience is required (preferably explosives manufacturing)
- Working knowledge of all legal and safety requirements, e.g. Explosives Act, OHS Act, and Factory / Departmental Regulations
- Knowledge of good explosive practices is necessary
- Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Problem solving or similar manufacturing philosophies
- Knowledge of Industrial Relations Procedures
- Sound understanding of the AECI ME quality management system and ISO 9001
