In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.
Job Description:
To perform maintenance effectively to maximize the availability of equipment to sections at the lowest cost by:

- Ensuring maintenance on the Front-End Loader (Komatsu, Caterpillars, LeTourneau)
- Ensuring the changing and replacing of the filter including topping up the Lubes
- Being responsible to attending to the breakdowns of the equipment
- Being able to interpret hydraulic schematics
- Ensuring that the work environment is equipped with the necessary spare parts and defective components are identified, in order to find and implement permanent solutions.
- Ensuring maintenance and testing of all equipment / machinery
- Ensuring functionality, safety and availability to complete jobs within the specified timeframe and budgetary limits.
- Being responsible to collect or supervise the collection of engine oil and other major components when necessary and on the prescribed area, for oil analyses
- Being able provide accurate data and prevent equipment breakdowns
- Adhering to all health and safety practices requirements and promote good housekeeping to ensure compliance
This role is in the Asset Strategy & Reliability Mining Maintenance (HME) department at a J4/2 level reporting to the Engineering Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Qualified /Trade Certificate as Artisan

- Grade 12 or N3 Technical Matric
- N2
- Driver’s license: Code B (Light Vehicle)
- Medical fitness certificate
Experience:
- 2 Years’ experience as an Artisan
